Colossians 3:23  “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,”

323 Design is an engineering and construction services company specializing in the material handling industry. Our team’s extensive experience in construction management and facility design allows us to bring a level of professionalism that is needed in a growing industry.  From initial concept to finished project you will quickly see we strive for excellence in all that we do, resulting in added value to you the customer.  At 323 Design, experience is more than just an old name.

THE 323 DESIGN DIFFERENCE:

At 323 Design we realize that nobody knows your business better than you! We will work with your team to understand your needs and develop a package solution that includes specifications, engineered drawings, construction schedule and professional crews to complete the work. Any company can give you a low quote and sometimes even draw up a plan, but will exclusions in the design or the price lead to expensive change orders and unexpected project duration? Will the final product even be what is needed? When you partner with 323 Design you can focus on your business and we will manage your project!

AT 323 DESIGN, WE ARE COMMITTED TO:

  • Accurate pricing and proposals

  • On-time projects

  • Highest level of professionalism, quality, and safety in the field

A NOTE FROM THE OWNER:

"My name is Ryan Toms. I reside in New Paris, OH.  My wife, our two children, and I love to camp, boat, and travel.  We frequent the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness annually.  Though I am engaged daily in my profession with technology, computers, and electronics, I relax by quite the opposite.  I like to disappear into God’s creation and reduce material dependence to a minimum.  I see this as a necessary purging of material dependency I rely on annually.   We are very involved in our church family, and were it not for the grace of God I would not be able to work in the capacity that I do.   I see my #1 duty as serving God though my work.  Work is not just a profession, but a life.  My family, my community, my profession is all work that I must do as if I were doing directly for God.

"I enjoy our industry because of the people, both customers and employees.  I take it as a personal challenge to find the most efficient and effective way to engineer a project to save; A) the customer money and operational expense, and B) our employees time and risk. I attended Purdue University and received a degree in Computer Graphics, while also receiving a degree from Indiana University in General Studies.  I entered our industry by working at commercial contractor’s fabrication shop as a steel detailer.  I then took a position with a agricultural millwright company and worked up through the engineering and design departments to become Engineering Manager, eventually moving up to Project Manager and finally to the Sales department.  My focus over the past 10 years has been larger commercial grain facility project design and construction management.

"I believe in what we're doing at 323 Design, and I'd love to talk with you about what we can do for your operation."

Robert Davis   -   Operations

I live in New Paris, Ohio with my three wonderful sons. My oldest loves to read, draw, and learn about new things. Although born on the same day, my twins are unique in their own ways. We like being outdoors whether it be playing catch in the backyard, riding bikes, or taking a walk through the woods. I grew up going to church and believing in the Golden Rule and through personal experience I have discovered that through God all things are possible.

I previously spent fourteen years in the Class 8/ Heavy Truck industry serving customers across the globe. Obtaining experience and life lessons along the way I enjoyed my work and helping others. Ryan Toms, longtime friend and fellow classmate, approached me with an opportunity to grow. Born and raised in the Midwest it seemed only natural to transition into the grain industry. I have nothing but respect for the people we help, often overlooked, their hard work in dangerous environments does so much more than put food on the table.

323 Design has chosen to do what I love, help others. Whether it is a new more efficient facility, replacing old equipment, changing a bearing, or simply answering a question, we love to help.
